Around the same time in distant Hongkong, this daily newspaper was reportedly published in mainly Chinese language, from July 1939 until 1941, and again from 1945 until 1949. As with other previous newspaper projects, a weekly Tibetan edition was produced. The project ran under the auspices of Tao Paichuan, member of the Kuomintang propaganda department.
